TOTAL (20 points) ________
I. Objective of the Experiment
To become familiar with the different kinds of the measurements needed in the Chemistry laboratory
To learn how to collect data quantitatively and how to interpret errors using quantitative results/observations
To determine the densities of some substances
II. Important Concepts
This portion includes all concepts discussed during the lecture or other sources that will help accomplish the specific objectives of
the experiment. Provide a minimum of three concepts.
III. Equipment and Materials
Blocks of wood (3) Calculator 50-ml Graduated cylinder
Mossy Zinc (3 pcs.) Ruler 10-ml Pipet
Weighing balance 50-ml Beakers Aspirator
IV. Calculations: (if applicable)
V. Process Flow Diagram
This includes the graphical representation of the progression of the experiment with specific details. Calculations and disposal
procedures must be included.
NOTE: One box includes only 1 step in the experiment. Be specific in terms of quantity and description.
VI. Prediction of Results
This includes the possible answers to the questions mentioned in the laboratory manual based on the theoretical concepts
discussed in the lecture and other sources. Provide a minimum of three predictions.
NOTE: Do not alter the format (paper size, font face, font size, margin, etc.) Conserve paper. Maximize the space.
