P/N 19022 – Linemen’s Work Positioning Body Belt


Product Specification

The Buckingham P/N 19022 body belt consists of:


 A nominal 5” wide leather body pad with a foam padding insert, stitched to a neoprene
impregnated 3 ply nylon back.
 The body pad is capable of “floating” 3 to 5 inches in either direction along the waist strap. (Note:
The amount of “float” varies with the belt size and individual wearing it)
 A forged steel work positioning dee ring, tensile tested to 5000 lbf. minimum, is secured to each
end of the body pad by means of a neoprene impregnated nylon dee piece and rivets.
 A waist strap manufactured using 1 3/4” neoprene impregnated six ply nylon. (tensile tested to
4500 lbf. minimum)
 The waist strap is adjustable by means of a steel tongue buckle. (tensile tested to 3372 lbf.
minimum)
 A nominal 1” wide keeper to hold any excess waist strap in place.
 Two 1-5/8” wide tool loops that are double riveted to each side of the waist strap.
 An accessory ring and knife snap are riveted to the waist strap.
 A 5/8” steel dee ring is riveted to the body and is the attachment point for a tape holder.
 Pouch tabs are stitched to bottom of each side of the body to allow for attachment of tool pouches
by means of a barrel nut and screw.
 All stitching is completed with thread meeting a 42 lbf. minimum tensile test.

The P/N 19022 Linemen’s Work Positioning Body Belt as a minimum, is manufactured and tested in
accordance with ASTM F887-18 standard and OSHA regulation (1910.269, 1926.502 and 1926.954) and
carries a 310 pound maximum weight rating when fully equipped. The body belt is labeled to include the
manufacturer’s name, model number, size, and date of manufacture. Packaged with each unit are use and
care instructions along with warning / inspection procedures.
Note: The P/N 19022 body belt when used as a system with an equivalently rated positioning strap and
climbers, has been tested and suitable for individuals whose weight does not exceed 350 pounds when fully
equipped. This weight limit exceeds the minimum requirements established by the ASTM F887 Standard as
well as the various OSHA regulations relative to these product lines. These specifications/regulations set a
minimum the product must meet; they do not establish the maximum.
