Reflections: WEEK 3 Q2

1. What are your personal experiences on the positive commandments after learning
the lesson. 20 points

Sanctifying God’s name

To honor God’s name, I set apart some days, the holy day of obligation from the
other weekdays and weekends. Like during the Sabbath day, I always make time to
attend the mass because it is the day that we celebrate our faith and hope in God’s
promise of sharing in His glory. The Eucharist is a pledge for our future glory. At the
end of the Holy Mass, I received the Holy Communion, where I implore for
deliverance from all evil and sin. I proclaim God’s greatness as my Creator in the
liturgy, and my prayers, especially in the Eucharistic prayers within the Holy Mass.

Taking oaths and vows

Students who are elected as an officer of a club or something go through oath-taking

in our school. And I was elected a couple of times as an officer during my past years
in high school. Being appointed to the position comes with great responsibility.
Through oath-taking, I did affirm my best to the assigned club position and abide by
the rules. Here I pledge in front of God and everyone else. And I must keep this
promise and try not to break it.

2. Action Home Assignment. 50 points

Every evening at 6 PM, my family and I pray the Holy Rosary. Praying the Holy
Rosary allows us to connect with God and communicate with Him. And as for the
holy mass, I attend the live streaming of online mass on the CPC Facebook page at 10
AM. The mass was about the solemnity of Christ the King, to honor Jesus Christ as
the lord of all creation.

In today’s, many of us have been vaccinated already as we cope little by little with
the current crisis, our world is healing, and it presented us the opportunity to be
back to normal again. However, I still thank God for all the grace and blessings that
He’d given me. I pray for the betterment of the world. As we strive hard to cope up
with these changes, everything must be coupled with prayers asking for the
renewing and continuing development of our world.

As usual, I help my mother with household chores whenever I get the chance when
I’m not working on my schoolwork. While, when it comes to taking care of God’s
creation, God gifted us with a loving home containing all that we need. And out of
profound gratitude, we all need to take care of all that Mother Earth has. Thus, I only
eat adequately and buy what is essential because I should prioritize my needs more
than what I desire. As my grandma is very fond of planting and gardening, so she
had a lot of plants. And sometimes I help her water her plants and in making the
compost that she uses for fertilizers. I also disposed of my wastes in their proper
place, and if possible, I recycled them. I also have several books that I don’t use
anymore, so I recycle them or reuse them. And whenever I brush my teeth, I turn off
the faucet to conserve water. As well, take shorter showers.
