NYCC and Easingwold Community Library offer a free service for people
of all ages who find it difficult to get to the library or carry books. Our
volunteers select books to suit the customer’s tastes and they can be
collected from the library or delivered directly every two weeks. Delivery
volunteers are all DBS checked & cover Easingwold & surrounding villages.
We offer free access to books, audio books, DVDs, music on CD &
information. Know someone who may be interested? To find out more

We are always looking for volunteers to help with deliveries,
particularly in holiday periods. Contact the library for more information.
Shipton Village Bake Off Saturday 8th June, Shipton Village Hall
between 2.30pm & 5.00pm, entry in the competition open to all. The
sampling of cakes and voting will be done by members of the public.
Entrance fee, £2 for adults and children free. Competition entrants free. If
you wish to enter cakes, an application form and further details are

York Lions Club We have started a fund raising effort to recycle old
clothing, shoes & handbags, where we are paid for every kilo we collect.
We would be grateful for any donations. We can provide bags and

1st Kyle Valley Beaver Leader Needed 1st Kyle Valley is recruiting for a
Beaver Leader & Assistant Leader. These are rewarding roles that will see
you guiding 6 to 8 year olds through exciting adventures & supporting their
personal development. The role requires 1 hour a week during term time
for the sessions & some planning time. Lots of support from an established

Easingwold District Community Care Association based in the Police
House in Easingwold is a registered charity which seeks to improve the
quality of life in our local community with a small professional team & team
of volunteers. We offer a range of services which include, a car scheme,
day centre, befriending & sitting scheme, a dementia day centre, a mini-
bus service, meals on wheels and various clubs including knitting and
crossword groups & wheelchair hire scheme. As part of our promotional

Skelton Gardening Club, 3rd Thursday of each month, 7.30pm start. We
are into our new season & are always pleased to welcome guests (£3) &
new members (£15 for the year). We have a good selection of speakers
booked, host a bit of a do in January, & organise two outings in the
summer months. Please come along & join in.
Coffee, Chat and Books Wednesday 5th June at Skelton Village Hall,
10.00-11.30am. Stock up on your summer reading. There’s something for
the grandchildren too. We are a friendly group & welcome all newcomers.

Skelton Walking Group Saturday 8th June 2019. Meet on Skelton village
green to leave by 9.30am. The June walk will be a moderate 6mls (no
stiles) on the southern fringes of the Yorkshire Wolds starting from the
village of Welton. Bring a picnic lunch, all welcome. Please note second

The Dedication Service on Wednesday 19th June at 7.00pm is for our
new organ at St Giles. The old organ has now been replaced by a smaller
digital one, giving us space to install a kitchen. We then plan to install an
outside toilet. The vision to improve our facilities has been strongly
supported by the church authorities. Bishop John will be coming to
dedicate our new organ at this special service. All welcome.
Skelton Social Running Group A newly-formed casual running group
meets on Tuesday nights, 6.30pm at the green on St. Catherines Close.
We usually run 5km (3 miles) in a small group. Everyone welcome & if
enough people we can split into different groups for different distances &
speeds. Contact us via the Skelton Community Share Facebook group.
Mobile Library in Skelton. The Mobile Library visits Skelton every two
weeks. Borrow books, update your library card or York Card, return books
from any other York library, & request books to be brought to Skelton for
you to borrow. The library stops in Fairfields Drive from 2.40pm to
3.10pm and Brecksfield from 3.15pm to 3.50pm. Alternate Mondays,

members, it would be brilliant to get our membership to the full 100. For
