J UNE holds much promise, hopefully the gift of


the full blossoming of Summer, after a wet Spring,
and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebration.

It will be really good to see the communities come
together for Jubilee celebrations across our villages

Shipton Village Jubilee Day, Saturday June 2nd at Shipton Community
Skelton Parish Council The next meeting will be held in Skelton Centre & Sports Field. A day of fun & games for everyone - all welcome.

Skelton Walking Group meet on the Village Green at 9.30am on

Montcony 2012 October 21st sees the ceremony to mark 70th anniversary of the
loss of plane & crew which took off from Linton & crashed near Montcony in Wood Farm Bed and Breakfast
Burgundy. This led to organised resistance to the Nazi regime in that area. A group Shipton By Beningbrough, York
from Linton will attend the remembrance & build on links made with Montcony in
recent years. Anyone from the area would be welcome to join us. A display of
