Skelton Gardening Club: 16th February our normal meetings
resume in the village hall at 2pm when Peter Mathers will
recount on his 'Paradise Revisited' Visitors are warmly
welcomed and will find a friendly group who enjoy a chat, a
raffle and end the afternoon with refreshments. For further

Mandy’s Community Café We are offering the café as a Warm
Hub on 1st Friday of each month over winter. We are open for
coffee & lunches from 10:30am until 1:30pm. Come and enjoy a
warm place with good company, good food & drinks and good
books. If you are unable to make your own way to the Village

Skelton Social Running Group A casual running group meets
on Tuesday nights, 6.30pm at the green on St. Catherine’s
Close. We usually run 5km (3 miles) in a small group. Everyone
welcome & if enough people we can split into different groups
for different distances & speeds. Contact us via the Skelton
Community Share Facebook group.
Mobile Library in Skelton. The Mobile Library visits Skelton
every two weeks. Borrow books, update your library card or
York Card, return books from any other York library, & request
books to be brought to Skelton. The library stops in Fairfields
Drive from 2:40pm to 3:10pm and Brecksfield from 3:15pm to

Skelton Walking Group: Join us on Saturday 4th February for
a 5.5 mile walk from Welburn around Castle Howard, followed

Skelton Village Trust Speaker Evening Thursday February
2nd 7.30pm in the Village Hall. Speaker Patrick
Wildgust, "Laurence Sterne and Shandy Hall Coxwold". Tickets
£5, to include buffet supper and a glass of wine/soft drink,
available from committee members, the village shop and on the
door.
Thank you to the Village Trust for the beautiful Christmas tree
in the churchyard. It was greatly admired and appreciated by the
village community.
St. Giles’ Church Carol Service was very well supported and
the congregation were very generous. We made the decision to
donate £84.50 to the York Foodbank from the retiring collection
as so many people are struggling to feed their families. Thank

its site on Back Lane. Options, showing annual rental rates, are:
half plot £20, or quarter plot £10, with a one-off set-up fee of
