Ref: Mail received on 15.01.2024 for Organizing of Technology Demonstration
Mela 2024 from PC AICRP on FIM, ICAR-CIAE, Bhopal.

It is stated that “Agricultural Technology and Machinery Demonstration Mela” is
being conducted every year during the month of February or March since 2015 to showcase
our technology to different stakeholders. As per the reference cited above,it is proposed to
organize the “Agricultural Technology and Machinery Demonstration Mela-2024”
on 14thFebruary 2024 by the AICRP schemes viz., Farm Implements & Machinery,
Ergonomics & Safety in Agriculture, Post Harvest Engineering and Technology, Energy in
Agriculture & Agro Based Industries and CRP on EA and FMPF of Agricultural Engineering
College and Research Institute, TNAU, Coimbatore as per ICAR schedule. Arrangements are
being made to mobilize 600 farmers from different regions through of Tamil Nadu.
Hence, it is requested that permission may kindly be accorded to organize
“Agricultural Technology and Machinery Demonstration Mela-2024” on 14th February
2024by the all AICRP schemes/ CRP of AEC&RI, TNAU, Coimbatore.
During the farmer’s meet, crop based machinery demonstrations are to be conducted
at Wetlands, Department of Farm Machinery and Power Engineering., Department of
Renewable Energy Engineering, Department of Food Process Engineering and Department
and a farmer’s interactive meeting will be organized at Anna Auditorium.
The anticipated expenditure for the conduct of the Technology and Demonstration
Mela 2024 is furnished below:

Hence, I request that permission may kindly be accorded for the following:
i. To utilizing the recurring contingency (2023-24) of AICRPs / CRPs / PFDC
schemes for the conduct of farmers meet as detailed :
AICRP on FIM, DFM&PE : Rs. 1,00,000

CRP on EA, Dept. of REE : Rs. 30,000

ii. An amount of Rs.1,00,000 (Rupees One lakh Fifty Thousand only) may kindly
be sanctioned as advance to meet the expenditure towards banners, leaflets,
 video & photograph, auditorium hiring charge, shamiana, mementos and
miscellaneous expenditures. The advance may be approved to be drawn from
AICRP on Farm Implements and Machinery.
iii. Permission may kindly be given for conducting farmer’s interactive meeting at
to Anna Auditorium, TNAU, Cbe.

Necessary funds are available under recurring contingency (2023-24) of AICRPs /
CRPs / PFDC schemes.
