    REPORT ON VACATION CLINICALS

    On 10th July,I submitted my clinical letter to Bekwai municipal hospital and reported on 16th July to start
    the clinicals I went to the changing room and met the senior in charge at the office,I was assigned to
    males medical ward for one week.l greets the nurses at the nurses station and directed me to the sister's
    office to meet the sister in charge, because it wasn't my first time to the hospital and the ward I wasn't
    oriented.There I performed the vital signs, serving of medication, feeding ambulance patients and
    unconscious patients through intravenous (IV) tube, brushing of teeth, bed bathing, taking of sample and
    sending them to the laboratory, hair caring and many more. Due to my condition I didn't perform
    carbonisation of bed.

    On the second week which is on 22nd June 2023, i went to the changing room for another ward and was
    assigned to the females medical ward.Females medical ward for one week.l greets the nurses at the
    nurses station and directed me to the sister'soffice to meet the sister in charge,because it wasn't my first
    time to the hospital and the ward I wasn't oriented.There I performed the vital signs, serving of
    medication, feeding ambulance patients and unconscious patients through intravenous (IV) tube,
    brushing of teeth, bed bathing, taking of sample and sending them to the laboratory, hair caring and
    many more. Due to my condition I didn't perform carbonisation of bed.I completed at female's ward on
    28th July,2023.

    on the third week,I want back to the changing room for another ward and was assigned to the paediatric
    ward,on arrival I greets the nurses at thenurses station and directed me to the sister'soffice to meet the
    sister in charge,because it wasn't my first time to the hospital and the ward I wasn't oriented.There I
    performed the vital signs, serving of medication, feeding ambulance patients and unconscious patients
    through intravenous (IV) tube, brushing of teeth, bed bathing, taking of sample and sending them to the
    laboratory, hair caring and many more,I done the trans in and trans out of patient within the facility.

    on the forth week,I passed through the same process for another changes and was assigned to surgical
    ward.When I got there I greets the nurses at the nurses station and directed me to the in charge at the
    sister's office,because it wasn't my first time to the hospital and the ward I wasn't oriented.There I
    performed the vital signs, serving of medication, feeding ambulance patients and unconscious patients
    through intravenous (IV) tube, brushing of teeth, bed bathing, taking of sample and sending them to the
    laboratory, hair caring,dressed simple wound like CS wound etc and witness dressing of diabetes
    wound,with to threatre and witness surgeries and importation of diabetes wound.

    On the fifth week, I passed through the same process for changes and was assigned to the emergency
    ward,there I was called the student in charge because I was assigned one month one week.At the ward I
    performed the vital signs, serving of medication, feeding ambulance patients and unconscious patients
    through intravenous (IV) tube, brushing of teeth, bed bathing, taking of sample and sending them to the
    laboratory, hair caring,dressed simple wound like CS wound etc and witness dressing of diabetes
    wound,with to threatre and witness surgeries and importation of diabetes wound, assisting to transfer
    patients to Komfo Another Teaching Hospital (KATH),sending of samples for labs at Dancer Kumasi and
    Komfo anokye as well.

    CHALLENGES

    The other colleges were on vacation so I couldn't get much assists from the in chargers

    RECOMMENDATION TO THE FACULTIES

    1. obtained from giving intravenous injection and infusions

    2. To remove a catheter
    3. Feeding a patient through intragastrous tube

    4. Able to take blood samples
