Blood Vault Authority System

Abstract

As a patient and recipient of a blood transfusion, it is important for him or her to receive
the safest blood possible. Information about the donated blood should be under the track to
guarantee the quality of the blood source. In this paper, we present a blood information
management system that aims at ensuring the quality of the blood and increasing the efficiency
of operation management. This system, enables the process of identifying blood donor more
reliable and credible which is used to make the management more convenient. In addition, GPRS
is applied in this system so that real-time data can be transmitted between the bloodmobile and
blood center through wireless Internet. This system continuously tracks the inventory status of
the blood bank in real time and has cross-point checks at various locations to ensure correct
transfusion. This paper presents a high-end system to bridge the gap between the blood donors
and the people in need for blood. Application for Blood Bank Management System is a way to
synchronize Blood banks and Hospitals with the help of Internet. It is a Web Application through
which Registered Hospitals can check the availability of required Blood and can send Request
for blood to the nearest blood bank or donor matching with blood requirement and can be
ordered online as and when required. Blood bank can also send a request to another blood bank
for unavailable blood. Person willing to donate blood can find out nearest blood banks using
Blood Bank Management Web Application. The location of the blood bank can also be traced
using maps. It can be accessed only by the donors to search the blood donation centres and the
requesting blood banks and hospitals to search the nearest blood banks and donors.
