Festivals celebrated in many places in the Philippines (
They are intended to celebrate the characteristics of
each community’s religious beliefs and cultures)
The two categories of Philippine Festivals- Traditional and
Modern celebrations Cultural and Historical
celebrations
The Marinduqueno version of the Moriones Festival - The
Roman soldier Longinus spearing the side of the
crucified Jesus

it has the identity of Mindanao

Sinulog Festival- Sto. Niño
Jose Rizal- conceptualized the Carrillo, one of the first
shadow puppets plays in the Philippines
Moro-moro- A historical battle between Muslim and
Christian warriors
Sarswela- theatrical form is considered the Father of
Drama.
Dance drama- precision of movements and gestures
The characteristics show the similarities of Moro-moro,
Senakulo and Sarswela - Spanish-influenced due to long
period of colonization
Theatrical performances - Recreational plays and
traditional counterparts of modern concerts and shows
Dinagyang means- Merry-making or Joyful celebration

 It is a cultural dance performed with the strong
beat of percussion instruments by the people
in the community sharing the same culture.
 It is usually done in honor of a Patron Saint as
thanksgiving for a bountiful
harvest.
Ati-atihan Festival -To honor the Santo Niño
Religious festival dance?
 These are dances characterized by
movements showing reverence to a
religious icon believed to have
interceded in their personal lives.
 This celebration is an expression of
thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest
and for a favor or request granted to
them through divine intercession.

Non communicable diseases
Diseases that are caused by unhealthy
lifestyle, heredity, and environmental
exposures.
Diseases are often known to be medical
conditions that are associated with specific
signs and symptoms.
Non communicable diseases are the diseases which does
not spread from one person to another person while
communicable diseases are the diseases which passes
from one individual to another individual.
Asthma- shortness of breath and chest tightness
Allergy- symptoms might have itchiness all over the body.
Stroke- clot blocks a small vessel in the brain.
MYTH
Myth is a popular belief or tradition that has
grown up around something or someone.
Myth it is only a form of practice established
through the span of time without any form of
scientific study.
EXAMPLES OF MYTH
 Sleeping with wet hair causes
blindness.
 A pregnant woman’s cravings will
affect the baby’s appearance.
 Taking a bath on Friday will not make
one sick.
