1. What is your understanding of the concept of the strategy?


Answer:
Based on my understanding, strategy is about decision-making and choosing to be more
different.

2. What is your own definition of strategy?


Answer:
My own definition of strategy is, setting a goal to achieve, making a plan or decision about how
you will achieve it, implement it and execute it accurately to make it really happen.

3. How do you apply strategic management in your life?


Answers:
In my daily life, I often apply the strategic management in every situation I have. Like for
example, playing badminton, you need to think and strategize how you can defeat your
opponent. That’s one of my examples how I apply strategic management in life.

1. Explain why the strategic management class often called a “capstone course”.
Answer:
Because it is the final subject in the business of administration program. All the subjects that
were taken about business is all related in strategic management.

2. Why is it important for all business majors to study strategic management since most
students will never become a chief executive officer nor even a top manager in a large
company?
Answer:
It is important to study because it is not only applicable if you are a CEO or top manager.
Strategic management is applicable to all. Even if you don’t have a job, you always strategize
how you can survive every day.

3. List three internal strengths and three internal weaknesses that characterize our university.
Answer:
Internal strengths
- open university to all people
- have a lot of school activities
- have a lot of programs that you can choose

Internal weaknesses
- lot of professors is unfair
- poor quality of chairs and tables in some department
- lack of electricfan and water in comfort room

4. What is your favorite line in the Art of War Book? Explain how you can relate it with your
present condition.
Answer:
My favorite line so far is “if you decide to go to battle, do not announce your intentions or
plans”. That is my mindset everytime I join every badminton tournament. I make myself always
unpredictable.

5. Compare business strategy and military strategy.


Answer:
Comparing the business and military strategy, it has no difference of their goals which is to win
the battle or become successful. The only different is the process of their strategy.

6. Why is strategy implementation considered the most difficult stage in the strategic
management process?
Answer:
It became difficult because implementation has a very detailed process. It includes annual
objectives, devise policies, motivate employees, developing a strategy-supportive culture and
so on.

7. In your opinion, what is the single major benefit of using a strategic management approach
to decision making?
Answer:
For me, it allows us to act and decide strategically. It will make us the goals that we wanted.

8. What is the role of business model in strategic management?


Answer:
It can make it easier to think and decide a strategy because of its process, so that we can meet
the objectives or goals that we want.

9. What is Peter Drucker’s theory of business all about?


Answer:
It is all about assumptions of a business. Organization behavior, decisions, markets, customer
and competitors.

10. How can a graduate of UEP Business Administration best achieve sustained competitive
advantage?
Answer:
They will become a big help with their organization because they have an idea about strategic
management and how this could be implemented.

Long-term Objectives
Answer:
My long-term objective is to become a successful registered social worker. I want to study and
attend a school of this course once I graduate.

Answer:
I often experience this everytime I cram my school works and the deadline is near.

Internal Weaknesses
Answer:
I have a lot of weaknesses but my most weakness is my disability, knowing that I am not able to
protect my family and loved ones physically.
