Set Sections
Ensure drain and vents status.
Set the startup levels.

Put All SLC and vent and drain valves on auto.
Put coordination program on auto.
Ensure that all sections are as per selected fuel.
Ensure that all GCs,SGCs and SLCs are on auto.

Set Set the startup levels
During start up HP, IP and LP drum levels increase
drastically as volume of water incraese due to
heating called selling levels.
HP drum level <400mm
LP drum level <450mm

During start up level can be maintained through
start up blow down.
Note: Before reducing level start the boiler
circulation pump as these will get start command
only when HP drum level >600mm

Start the Auxilaiary
Note: Before reducing level start the boiler circulation pump as
these will get start command only when HP drum level >600mm.
Aux of boiler will be start up on Auto through UCP or start on
manual in order to save the time and open cycle generation
(recommended)

Startup boiler and turbine bypass operation
Before start of boiler ensure that all boiler general safeties and master
softies are reset (boiler protection are reset)
Before start of boiler ensure that power pack (diverter dampers) are in
operation and pumps are making suficient pressure (control and safety fluid
pressure are OK).

Before startup of boiler ensure that turbine bypass or boiler bypass are
available.
In order to make available turbine bypass or boiler bypass ensure the
following two things.
1. Bypass hydraulic oil system in operation and bypass protections are OK.
2. Condenser vacuum system is oin operation and condenser vacuum is set.

Boiler bypass operation have following two objectives.
1. Dump the wet steam in condenser and bypass the turbine.
2. Increase the metal temperature of turbine.
