STEP 1: NAVIGATING THE CLIENTS BRIEF

Navigating the client brief refers to the process of thoroughly understanding and interpreting the
information and requirements provided by the client at the beginning of a project

Begin by clearly understanding the project's requirements and objectives. Gather information about the
target audience, project scope, and any constraints or limitations. This will provide a solid foundation
and help you stay focused throughout the design process.

STEP 2: RESEARCH

Research refers to the creation of new knowledge and/or the use of existing knowledge in a new and
creative way so as to generate new concepts, methodologies and understandings.

It involves gathering and analyzing data, evaluating existing information, and drawing conclusions based
on evidence and findings.

[10/16, 8:01 PM] abdulganiwbakuri: STEP 3: BRAINSTORMING

Brainstorming is a method of generating ideas and sharing knowledge to solve a particular commercial
or technical problem, in which participants are encouraged to think without interruption.

Brainstorming is one of the most important stages of Design Thinking, as this is where ideas are born.

Overall, brainstorming is a powerful technique to stimulate creativity, generate ideas, and foster
innovation by leveraging the collective intelligence and creativity of a group or individual participants.

[10/16, 8:01 PM] abdulganiwbakuri: STEP 4 : SKETCHING

Sketching is a distinctive form of drawing which designers use to propose, explore, refine and
communicate ideas.

Sketching is a form of communication and as such particularly effective for illustrating ideas or sharing
thoughts.

Sketching also helps you see the design from the lense of what it could be. It helps walk others through
the story of how an idea begins, evolves and grows beyond ...
[10/16, 8:01 PM] abdulganiwbakuri: STEP 5: GATHERING THE RESOURCES

Gathering resources refers to the process of collecting and compiling the necessary materials,
information, and tools needed to support a project or task.

It involves identifying, acquiring, and organizing the resources required to accomplish specific goals or
objectives effectively.

STEP 6: DOING THE DESIGN

Doing the design refers to the actual process of creating and developing the visual and functional aspects
of a project or product based on the defined design brief and gathered research.

It involves transforming ideas, concepts, and requirements into tangible design solutions.

[10/16, 8:02 PM] abdulganiwbakuri: STEP 7: DELIVERY

In the context of design, delivery refers to the final stage of the design process where the completed
design assets or deliverables are prepared and handed over to the client or for their intended use.

It involves packaging, organizing, and transferring the design files or materials in a format that is suitable
for their intended purpose.

[10/16, 8:02 PM] abdulganiwbakuri: Here are key aspects involved in the delivery stage of the design
process:

1. File Formats: Designers ensure that the design files are prepared and delivered in the appropriate file
formats based on the specific requirements of the project. This can include formats such as JPEG, PNG,
PDF, SVG, or others, depending on whether the design will be used for print, web, or other digital
applications.
2. Resolution and Quality: Designers ensure that the design assets are provided at the required
resolution and maintain high-quality standards. This ensures that the visuals are crisp, clear, and suitable
for their intended use, whether it is for digital display or print reproduction.

[10/16, 8:03 PM] abdulganiwbakuri: STEP 8: CLIENTS FEEDBACK

Client feedback refers to the input, comments, opinions, and suggestions provided by the client
regarding a product, service, or project. It is the client's response to the work delivered by a designer or
service provider, expressing their thoughts and assessment of the deliverables.

Client feedback plays a crucial role in the design process and project execution. It helps to:

1. Assess Client Satisfaction: Feedback allows designers to gauge the client's satisfaction with the design
work and whether it meets their expectations. Positive feedback indicates that the client is pleased with
the results, while constructive criticism provides insights for improvement.

2. Identify Areas for Improvement: Client feedback provides valuable insights into areas that may require
further refinement or adjustment. It helps designers understand specific aspects of the design that may
need attention or modification to better align with the client's vision or goals.

[10/16, 8:03 PM] abdulganiwbakuri: 3. Validate Design Decisions: Feedback from clients can validate
design decisions and choices made by the designer. It confirms whether the design effectively
communicates the intended message, resonates with the target audience, and fulfills the project goals as
envisioned by the client.

4. Strengthen the Client-Designer Relationship: Engaging with client feedback in a positive and proactive
manner helps build a strong client-designer relationship. It demonstrates a willingness to listen, adapt,
and collaborate, which can lead to long-term partnerships and future opportunities.

[10/16, 8:03 PM] abdulganiwbakuri: Note!!! When receiving client feedback, it is important for designers
to approach it with an open mind, professionalism, and a willingness to consider different perspectives.
They should actively listen, ask clarifying questions, and seek further insights to gain a comprehensive
understanding of the client's feedback.

[10/16, 8:04 PM] abdulganiwbakuri: STEP 9: REVIEW

A review is an evaluation or assessment of something, such as a product, service, performance, or
creative work, with the purpose of providing feedback, opinions, and recommendations.

It involves examining the qualities, features, and performance of the subject under review and
expressing an informed judgment or critique.

[10/16, 8:04 PM] abdulganiwbakuri: STEP 10: FINAL DELIVERY

Final delivery refers to the final stage of a project or task, where the completed and approved work is
delivered to the client.

It is the final stage of the project lifecycle, marking the conclusion of the work and the transition of the
deliverables into the hands of those who will utilize or benefit from them.
