Q1 a A hollow workpiece of 60 mm outside diameter and 250 mm length is

feed = 0.8 mm/rev., cutting speed = 50 m/min, estimate the machining

time.

b A rectangular job of size 90X50X10 (LXWXH) is to be manufactured from 53 2

Cl using sand casting process. The mold for this job is made from a

wooden pattern. Find the dimensions of the wooden pattern by taking

machining allowance of 2 mm, shrinkage allowance of 3% and taper
allowance of 2°. Draw the final pattern dimensions.
