Hatchlings, set to be released back to their home

Back in January 17, 2024 at least 73 hatchlings were released back to the sea. According to the Samahan
ng Labac Pawikan Patroller (SLPP), they have released over 3,000 hatchlings back to their natural habitat
over 2023.

Miss Universe Philippines-Naic candidates, lead by our tourism advocate Ms. Jacinta Remulla also
proudly promoted and raised awareness for the Pawikan Conservatory and Hatching Facility in Labac
Naic, Cavite. The candidates together with the dedicated Pawikan Patrollers released exactly 173
hatchlings back to the water.

Councilor Rommel Magbitang together with the Former Brgy. Captain Roger Bilugan and some
volunteers also participated in releasing hatchlings.

The volunteers, candidates, patrollers and the Sangguniang Baranggay ng Labac altogether participated
in a coastal clean-up drive for the safety of the people and also the animals residing near the coastal
area.
