𝐁𝐠𝐲. 𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐬, 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞'𝐬 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭, 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧- To reach out to the local communities to create
awareness on significant environmental laws in Palawan through community-based Information,
Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign, Palawan Council for Sustainable Development
Staff (PCSDS) ECAN Education and Extension Division (EEED) and Palawan Wildlife Rescue
and Conservation Center (PWRCC) partnered yesterday, August 16, for a series of talks to 30
barangay officials, Purok leaders, barangay tanods, SK officials, and other essential
government employees regarding environment-related laws and policies in Palawan, here.

Discussed in the IEC activity were topics on Gender and Development (GAD); Republic Act
(RA) No. 7611 or the Strategic Environmental Plan for Palawan Act; ; R.A. No. 9147 or the
Wildlife Act; R. A. 9175 or the Chainsaw Act; and Human-Crocodile Conflict.

This undertaking would not have been made possible without the warm support of Hon. Edgar
N. Inso, chairperson of Bgy. Aribungos, Brooke’s Point, Palawan.

(𝐁𝐠𝐲. 𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐬, 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞'𝐬 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭, 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧- Upang maipalaganap sa lokal na komunidad ang
kahagalagan ng mga batas pangkalikasan ng Palawan, nagsagawa ang Palawan Council for
Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) ECAN Education and Extension Division (EEED) at
Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center (PWRCC) ng isang talakayan (Information,
Education, and Communication[IEC] campaign) sa 30 opisyales ng nasabing barangay,
kasama ang mga opisyales ng mga purok nito, barangay tanods, miyembro ng Sangguniang
Kabataan (SK), at mga piling kawani ng gobyerno.

Tinalakay sa nasabing IEC activity ang nilalaman ng Gender and Development (GAD); Batas
Republika (BR) Bilang 7611, Strategic Environmental Plan for Palawan Act; BR Bilang 9147,
the Wildlife Act; BR Bilang 9175, the Chainsaw Act; at Human-Crocodile Conflict.
