e) The wages for each member for the week for this roster.
The following are each member's weekly salary for this roster:
• Mark makes $926.13 per week

• Tom makes $915.93 per week

• Jordan makes $922.42 a week.

• Sam makes $961.43 per week.

• Shelly makes $848.03 a week.

• The weekly pay for Darren is $1069.30.

• Scott makes $1026.68 per week.

• Margaret makes $986.37 a week.

f) The total wages for the week:

$926.13 + $915.93 + $922.42 + $961.43 + $848.03 + $1069.30 + $1026.68 + $986.37= $7656.29
The total salaries for the week are calculated by adding together the weekly wages of all employees, which comes to $7656.29.

Determining if the weekly wage budget is met:

Total Wages = $7656.29
Budgeted Amount = $7200.00
= $7656.29 - $7200.00 = $456.29
Therefore, the wages for the week are $456.29 over the budgeted amount of $7200.00.

Part B

a) There are 3 existing staff that could be contacted to cover Sam’s shift:

o Margaret, Supervisor of the Front Office, = $306.6

o Shelly (grade 2 in front office) = $264.72

o Darren (grade 3 front office) = $264.72

b) After all entitlements, the cost of a casual will be about $350.

c) It is possible to hire a casual for this shift at front office level 3, but doing so will come at a higher cost because casual employees typically

have higher pay rates, which will have an effect on the budget because the wage will exceed the budget.

d) Because she is on par with Sam and is well-versed in all the chores, Shelly is the least expensive alternative for this shift. The budget will

also include it.

e) Experience is one of the key components. We could complete the requirements; the selected candidate is the one who understand the

obligations and duties of their jobs. They are aware of their rights and their position in the workplace.
