Explain and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of system integration in the organization or in the
community. Provide concrete examples.

Answer:

System integration refers to the process of combining different subsystems or components into one
integrated system.

For Advantages
1. Improved efficiency - In an organization, integrating communication system like email chat or video
call with a project management tool that can enhance collaboration and reduce the delays.
2. Better Customer Experience - An organization integrating its online services like bill permit
application and customer feedback.
Disadvantages
1. Security Concerns - Interconnected systems may be vulnerable to cyber threats. For instance, IoT
devices in smart city can be exposed various entry points for security breaches.
2. Maintenance Challenges - as technologies evolve, maintaining integrated systems may always
require updates if failed to do so it can be result malfunctions.

Break down at least three (3) characteristics of an enterprise system.

Answer:

1. Integration and centralization - Interconnected Modules. Enterprise systems consist of various


interconnected modules or applications that can address different functions such as finance human
resources and supply chain management. These modules are tightly integrated allowing seamless
data flow between them.
2. Scalability and flexibility - Adaptability to business needs. This system designed to be scalable and
adaptable to the changing needs of an organization they can accommodate growth in terms of user
numbers, increased transaction volumes and the addition of new functionalities or modules this
scalability ensure that the system remain effective and relevant to the business
3. Real time information and Decision Support- Analytical tools, advanced analytics and reporting tools
are integrated components of the system. These tools will help organizations analyze historical data.

Choose an establishment/organization/enterprise and describe it briefly. Identify and explain what is the
appropriate enterprise system that the establishment/organization/enterprise should use to improve their day-
to-day operations and give more business value to the organization.

Answer:

McDonald's Philippines is a well-established and popular fast-food chain with a widespread presence across
the country. It is part of the global McDonald's Corporation and is known for serving a diverse menu of fast-
food items, including burgers, fries, chicken, and breakfast options.

The RMS can include inventory management features to manage the stocks level and to maintain
consistent menu offerings

Mcdonalds can benefit from a CRM module within the RMS to gather customer data preferences and

Given the growing trend of online orders and food delivery services, an RMS with mobile ordering
and delivery integration capabilities can further expand Mcdonalds reach and provide additional
convenience to customers
4. Employee Management
The system can have modules for managing employee schedules, payroll, and performance tracking.
This contributes to efficient workforce management and ensures compliance with labor regulations.
