without lifting the toes (pivoting or pushing on

b) Lift the toes of the L foot and move it sideward L
(pivoting or pushing on the heel of the L foot) at the
same time point the R foot to fourth position in front cts. 2, 3

a) Step R forward R ct. 1
b) Step L heel forward L ct. 2
c) Slide R close to L in 5th or 3rd position in rear ct. and
d) Take a small step forward on the ball of the L foot ct. 3
e) Slide the R foot close to the L in 5th or 3rd position in rear ct. and

b) With a spring take two slide steps on ball of R foot

2. CROSS-STEP TURN
a) Step sideward R ct. 1
b) Cross the L foot in front of the R foot, and make a
complete turn R about by pivoting on the balls of both feet ct. 2
c) Finish the turn facing front and close feet together ct. 3
d) Pause ct. 1, 2, 3
3. CROSS TURN
a) Cross L foot in front of the R foot ct. 1
b) Turn R about pivoting on balls of feet ct. 2
c) Lower heels down ct. 3
d) Pause ct. 1, 2, 3
Note: The pause is optional.
4. PIVOT TURN
a) Step R foot in fourth in front ct. 1
b) Take a quarter turn R by pushing on the ball of the L
foot, raise heel of the R foot slightly off the floor ct. and
c) Repeat all until dáncei faces front ct. 2 and
NOTE: Knee of the supporting foot must be slightly bent while doing the
slide.
