11 academic year for Grade 12, provided this is done before 26 January of the Grade
12 year.

Important: All documentation must be submitted by the registered SACAI institution

and may not be sent by the candidate/parent/guardian/tutor centre directly to SACAI.

• A letter of motivation from the parents.
• A letter of motivation on an official letter head from the principal of the centre:
• A copy of the last report card.
• A letter from the subject teaching outlining the program to be followed indicating
how the subject content of the previous grades will be covered.
• Any other documentation deemed necessary as additional motivation.

Please take note that a candidate, parent, Independent School, or Distance

Education Provider may not hold the assessment body (SACAI) responsible for
any learning problems experienced because of the subject change.
