I hope you are doing well. You might remember us reaching out to you to present us
a problem your business might be facing, and we will try to model it and represent a
solu?on. We want to inform you that we tried to model it and came up with a solu?on that
will provide you with best profits available while also mee?ng with your requirements and
constraints.
You can get a profit of Rs. 2,198,965 through our solu?on. Total cost will be Rs.
3,141,035 that you will get but aLer subtrac?ng the produc?on expenses i.e. Rs. 942,070,
you will get the profit stated above. To produce this profit while managing the constraints
i.e. labor hours should be less than 9100 hours, machine hours should be less than 9000,
organza material used should be less than 3000 yards, chiffon material should be less than
1000 yards, silk should be used less than 10,000, lawn should be used less than 2000 yards,
gray fabric should be used less than 5000 yards and also allowing minimum produc?on
constraint that you gave us for each product that for all 26 ar?cles listed in the excel sheet
and stated below, while also catering to maximum product constraint each material can have
we came up with this solu?on.
To get to this profit you should make 28 pieces of Aura, 28 pieces of Azul, 28 pieces
of Gris, 28 pieces of beige, 28 pieces of maya plum, 10 pieces of rojo,28 pieces of Grante, 28
pieces of Herlin,30 pieces of Black forest,28 pieces of Nave, 30 pieces of BoWle Green, 28
pieces of Noor gul, 28 pieces of syeta, 35 pieces of gold premium, 40 pieces of Fuchsia, 30
pieces of Ice sand, 28 Pieces of ice black , 28 pieces of Lily, 30 pieces of Dove, 80 pieces of
Musturd urmil,41 pieces of Keyah, 37 pieces of Espousal,33 pieces of Torqise, 15 pieces of
zeenat, 10 pieces of Haya and 15 pieces of Alia bhaW style sari. By following this product mix
you will achieve the best possible profit with these constraints you have.
Now we will explain you the model and quite about how we solved the problem.

For simplicity we have given each ar?cle a variable as shown in table above.
We applied linear programming to this problem you gave to us we made an objec?ve
func?on to maximize profit shown below we had many types of constraints like minimum
produc?on constraints of each ar?cle, ?me constraints, material constraints and maximum
produc?on constraints of each fabric. We catered to all and produced the result presented
to you above. Below is the model we used.

Time constraints:
Material available:
Ves?dos is a tex?le company, that deals with the produc?on of garments and clothes. The
company deals with many different tex?le products made of different materials. Ves?dos
also offers customized clothes according to your style.

Importance:
As Pakistan has a performing tex?le industry, we felt a need to model it to get op?mum
results which can boost the produc?on and profits and further strengthen our tex?le
industry. Any boom in tex?le industry can improve Pakistan economic condi?ons so we felt
relevant to this project and choose to go with this problem and model it. Our model
servicing different constraints can be of help in tex?le industry and can help improve it.
Ves?dos is currently dealing with a produc?on problem; they are unable to determine which
combina?on of items will yield the highest profit while also requiring the right amount of
labor, materials, and demand constraints. Their business is being hampered by the fact that
they are manufacturing goods but lack the most effec?ve model to do so, which is resul?ng
in lower profits than they could be making. The model's primary goal was to provide the
most lucra?ve mix of products that meet the needs while accommoda?ng the limited
availability of constraints like various resources, demands, and labor hours needed for
smooth opera?ons. The constraints given to us are shown below in the form of table.
Constraints

Data collec*on:
We created a data sheet in Excel, entered the necessary expenses and constraints that the
company sent us, applied Linear Programming Formula?ons to it, and finally, we had 26
different ar?cles/products made of various materials that required different labor hours,
produc?on and selling costs, overhead price of each dress/product, and different cost of
material (for example, some products required lacework, handprints, etc.). Each ar?cle
produc?on costs, selling costs and overhead costs and other costs were sent to us by
company representa?ve, we have shown all data collec?on in data sheet of our excel file.
Result:
A product mix that maximizes profits while mee?ng demand requirements which will allow
Ves?dos to achieve compe??ve advantage. (solu?on presented above with profit of
RS.2,198,965).
