1. Introduction: (Details about the Topic, industry, products, need of study and some history about
the same etc.)

Home automation or domotics is building automation for a home, called a smart home or
smart house. A home automation system will monitor and/or control home attributes such
as lighting, climate, entertainment systems, and appliances. It may also include home
security such as access control and alarm systems. When connected with the Internet, home
devices are an important constituent of the Internet of Things ("IoT"). A home automation
system typically connects controlled devices to a central smart home hub (sometimes called
a "gateway"). The user interface for control of the system uses either wall-mounted
terminals, tablet or desktop computers, a mobile phone application, or a Web interface that
may also be accessible off-site through the Internet.

2. Problem identification and Problem Formulation: (Core area of problems or other

related problems and their brief solutions)

Today’s world is moving towards micro or nuclear family hence and people loaded with work
up to the neck for the entire day. Therefore, the situation demands for systems which allows
people to perform certain tasks at home for which they have no time at present day. In this
project it is intend to develop a system which allows the user to control the lighting of the
house, controlling fans, sense moving objects, displaying household information, etc.

3. Objective of the Project: (Objectives should be mentioned pointwise. Students can also divide
the broader and narrow areas of the objectives. These objectives must be near to the situation of the
problems)

1. To control home appliances in rooms according to user requirements.

2. To connect Raspberry Pi Pico with user’s devices using wifi module.
3. Designing home structure and connecting home appliances at appropriate places.
