1. Anti-termite treatment.
5. Material approvals for steel reinforcement bars/mesh, concrete formwork, form oil,
binding wire, spacers.
6. Steel delivered to site is checked to ensure it is not rusty and protected with
polythene to prevent rusting on site.
7. Bar bending schedule/shop drawing approved including openings for MEP services.

3. A check is made to ensure the formwork is correctly aligned and made plumb.
4. The formwork is then rigidly fixed and supported in accordance with approved
method statement (if applicable).
5. Joints in the formwork will be sealed using duct tape to prevent grout leakage.
8. MEP service installations are marked on the formwork with chalk or marker pens.
10. The approved spacers are bound to the steel at the correct spacing to achieve the
cover specified in the approved drawings.
11. Lap lengths, where applicable, are checked to ensure compliance with approved
drawings.
12. Electrical conduits, junction boxes, drainage sleeves and openings are installed
according to approved shop drawing.
13. Care must be taken to ensure the specified clear cover is maintained during MEP
installations.
14. Waterbars, where required, are installed and supported securely using binding wire.
15. Approved anchor bolts are positioned, aligned and secured in accordance with
approved drawings and then protected with masking tape.
16. Cleaning of the reinforcement with a wire brush (where necessary) is undertaken
and the formwork is cleaned with an electric or compressed air blower to remove
binding wire, sand, saw dust, debris etc.
17. Anchor bolts are inspected and signed off by the steel subcontractor to ensure they
are in accordance with the approved shop drawings.
18. AMBB MEP and Civil checklists are completed and signed off.
19. Inspection request is raised for completed MEP installation and an inspection is
conducted by the client/consultant.
20. Inspection request is raised for the formwork and rebars, and an inspection is
conducted by the client/consultant.

21. DM inspection is requested and held where applicable.

b. Adequate arrangements must be made for access for the concrete trucks and
placement of the concrete.
c. The concrete must be checked for temperature (which must not exceed 32 C) 0
23. Concrete is placed by pump, chute or manually in accordance with the approved
method statement.
24. Whilst the concrete is being poured checks are made of the following:-
a. Grout leakage from sides of or underneath formwork.
b. Clear cover is maintained – spacers adjusted (added where necessary) is
disturbed by concrete.
c. MEP installations are checked and repositioned if disturbed by concrete.
d. Support systems are checked and secured if necessary.
e. Dowel bars are adjusted or secured if disturbed by concrete.
25. The concrete is vibrated using poker vibrators. Experienced operators and
supervisors must be used to ensure proper vibration and avoid honeycombing in
concrete.
26. Levels are checked during the pouring to ensure they are correct.
27. The concrete is troweled to ensure a smooth finish or roughened with a steel brush
where further concrete placement will occur.
28. The concrete is protected form heat with wet hessian cloth and polythene if ambient
temperature is likely to rise above 40 C within the next 2 hours.

29. After 12 hours hessian cloth is placed over the concrete and water is sprayed on the
cloth to keep it moist for minimum 3 days after which time it may be removed.
