CEBU SOUTH BUS TERMINAL IS A PROPOSED TRANSPORTATION HUB IN THE SOUTH ROAD PROPERTIES. THE DESIGNER OPTED FOR A
RECTILINEAR PLAN TO LESSEN UNNECESSARY USE OF SPACE, BUT SINCE IT IS RECTANGULAR IN NATURE, UTILIZING THE ROOFING IS ONE OF THE
PLAUSIBLE WAY TO GIVE THE STRUCTURE ITS OWN CHARACTER. TAKING INSPIRATION FROM THE VARIOUS MOVEMENTS OF THE SEA WATER KNOWN
AS WAVES, WAS ABLE TO GIVE A SENSE OF CHARACTER.

WAVE CREATES UNIQUE FORMS BUT IF WE OBSERVE CLOSELY, IT’S ACTUALLY QUITE SIMPLE. EXTRACTING THE BASIC SHAPES THAT
OUR EYES CAN SEE IN THE WAVES; THE DESIGNER WAS ABLE TO SIMPLIFY ITS FORM AND TRANSFORM IT INTO A ROOFING SYSTEM THAT CATERS TO
THE PLANS RECTILENEAR NATURE. BECAUSE OF THE WAVE-LIKE ROOF, THERE CAN BE AN ADEQUATE VENTILATION INSIDE DESPITE OF THE
STRUCTURES HORIZONTAL LENGTH PROMOTING LESS USAGE OF LIGHTINGS DURING DAYLIGHTS.
