History
Metrix Instrument Co. was founded in 1965 in Houston, Texas. We were the first company in the market to
manufacture 4-20 mA vibration transmitters, which greatly simplified vibration monitoring and reduced its
cost. In 1992, we received our ISO 9001 quality systems certifications.

Roper Industries (NYSE=ROP) acquired Metrix in 1995, and we began to expand our global presence. In
1998, Roper acquired PMC/BETA and combined it with Metrix, further expanding and strengthening the
product line. Today, Metrix is a Limited Partnership of Roper Industries, a $2.1 billion industrial products
company specializing in analytical instrumentation, industrial controls and fluid handling.
