GAD Narrative Report 2023

Gender equality is considered to be a crucial problem our world has faced today.

Achieving decent work for all women and men, equal rights for both men and women,

gender stereotyping and other gender related issues has been a major element why people

suffers from physical and mental health issues. As a development approach, GAD seeks to

equalize the status and condition of and relations between women and men by influencing

the process and output of the policy.

As prime mover and implementer of GAD, Kasapa Elementary School conducted a

two (2) day school based seminar and orientation regarding to, the Goal of GAD, Gender

Equality, Gender Mainstreaming, Gender stereotyping, Anti bullying, Violence Against

Women and Children, Mental health Awareness and GAD Laws and Mandates. Our Seminar

and orientation was started last November 09, 2023 and ended on November 10, 2023. A

lot has happened and a lot of knowledge and new learning has acquired by the participant

during the two day seminar and Orientation.

Kasapa Elementary School Aimed to implement all of the learning’s from this very

educational seminar. As teachers we will promote equity and equality to everyone.

ACTIVITY DESIGN

KASAPA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FACULTY AND STAFF 2 DAY GAD ACTIVITY

I. RATIONALE

Advisory No. 009 s. 2021 in compliance with DepEd order No.8, s. 2012 otherwise known as
Gender and Development (GAD) training compliance on the Law in the safe space Act. The
GAD training and Orientation aims to help all organizations in private and government
sectors comply the new law and it’s implementing rules and regulation. In connection to this
Kasapa Elementary School is conducting a 2-day training Activities for the Faculty and Staff.

II. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the activity, the participants are expected to:

1. Enhance their knowledge on their duties as a safe pace provider of the


classroom/School;
2. Develop camaraderie and cohesiveness;
3. Practice giving and providing safe space to the pupils.

III. TARGET PARTICIPANTS

All Faculty and staff of Kasapa Elementary School from Kinder-Grade Six including the
School head with a total number of 11 participants.
