Narrative Report on Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake

Drill (NSED)
Patterned and guided with the released Dep Ed Order No. 84 S. 2012, our school
participated in the First Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill last February
15, 2018 (Thursday), 9:30 am for Grades 7, 9 11, and 12 ,and 2:00 pm for Grade 8 and 10
students and teachers, to make sure that all the students and faculty are aware if this case
happen, we need to be ready because Earthquake/Fire is a natural phenomenon and cannot be
prevented. It can strike quickly without warning and it can damage lives and properties.

What are the objectives of this Drill?

 To test the efficiency and usefulness of the preparedness, response and recovery plans,
systems and policies developed in our school;
 To evaluate the effectiveness of the contingency plan;
 To test the coordination and communication mechanism during the response operation
and
 To understand the command and control mechanism in emergency and disaster operation
at the DRRMC’s.

We done this drill w/ out informing the students to find out if they can still
remember what they have learned. We invited our TIC’s and all school personnel
to evaluate and witness our drill and to identify problems encountered during the drill and
how this can be corrected in future earthquake drill.

Almost 876 students participated in the drill fortunately and proudly say that the drill
was made successful through the effort and cooperation of the students, teachers
and our supportive principal.

We thank AHS family for continued support and cooperation, our school principal
for the assistance and being a part of this activity, above all to our Almighty God!
