Rationale:

Pursuant to the Division Memorandum No. 02-031 series of 2023, Dapa West district
is required to conduct a District Schools Press Conference for school paper advisers and
pupil/student-writers in both elementary and secondary level. This aims to refresh and
assess the journalistic skills of our pupil/student-journalists after two years hiatus
brought by the pandemic.
With this activity, student-journalists will be able to refresh their minds in any
journalistic writing styles and enhance their understanding on the importance of
journalism in todays world.

Objectives:
This activity aims to:
a. promote understanding among campus journalists/participants on the
importance of journalism by expressing it through different journalistic
endeavors and approaches;
b. sustain advocacy on social consciousness;
c. provide a venue for an enriching learning experience for pupils and students
interested in pursuing journalism as a career;
d. promote journalism and fair and ethical use of social media, and;

Rationale:
A viable alternative to the existing formal education system, ALS encompasses both
non-formal and informal sources of knowledge and skills. As a second chance education
program, it aims to empower OSYA learners to continue learning in a manner, time and
place suitable to their preference and circumstances, and for them to achieve their goals of
improving their quality of life and becoming productive contributors to society. Recently,
DepEd releases policy and guidelines stating that ALS must be one of the offering in
school. This means all secondary school must cater or accepting ALS student for Senior
High School. However, teachers should be prepared, trained and equipped on catering the
SHS ALS students. Teachers must be ready and a school also needs to be ready and
implement inclusive education.
Accordingly, there is a need to develop deep understanding. familiarization, and
appreciation of the contextualized MELC-based ALS SHS Curriculum; train and equip the
ALS Teachers with the skills needed on the delivery and contextualization process of
learning competencies in the ALS Context and conduct demonstration teaching of select
teacher-participants in preparation for the implementation of the contextualized MELCs-
based ALS SHS Curriculum.
Thus, Christmas season is near and this a perfect time to acknowledge and thanks
every employee who have been part of a whole productive year. A celebration of
accomplishments and success for Dapa National High School Faculty and Staff. It is also a

time to build trust, mitigates conflict, encourages communication, and increases
collaboration in achieving the goals. Also, the Christmas party pays the hard works of the
teaching and non-teaching staff in delivering quality education.
Objectives:
The meet aims to:
f. train teachers on the implementation of ALS SHS;
g. familiarize MELCs-Based ALS Learning Materials;
h. foster stronger relationship and cohesiveness in team;
i. ignite the spirit of achievement to achieve performance excellence, and;
j. celebrate success and exemplary accomplishments.
