Rationale

Recognizing the need to develop contingency plans for both natural

and human induced hazards, as indicated in item 6.1.1 of NDRRMC-NSC
JMC No. 1, 2016 that “All DRRMCs at all level, CMCs at local level, and
individual government departments, bureaus, agencies and
instrumentalities shall formulate contingency plans for natural and/or
human-induced hazards appropriate to their areas.

To ensure the establishment of preparedness measure and arranged

response priorities ahead of time prior to disaster, Loreto National High
School (A Stand Alone Senior High School) through the School Disaster Risk
Reduction and Management Office will conduct a One-Day Orientation on
Basic DRRM Concepts and Contingency Planning on November 28-30, 2023.

Objectives

The activity aims to:

1. Reorient Disaster Control Group team leaders on basic

DRRM functions, Concepts, RADaR app and PDNA tool.
2. Craft hazard specific contingency plan for school
3. Integrate contingency planning process for managing natural
and human induced hazard.
