NARRATIVE REPORT ON FIRE PREVENTION MONTH 2023

March is a fire prevention month proclaimed by our beloved President Ferdinand E. Marcos.
This is the month were we need to discuss and raise awareness about the cause, hazard and
dangers of fire. According to Bureau of Fire Protection, March is one of the hottest months
of the year and according to their data March has one of the alarming fire incidents in the
country. We need to be vigilance and prepared in case of fire happen.

The Donggo-an Elementary School supports the whole nation in the observance of the
month of March as Fire Prevention Month. Last March 10, 2023 at exactly 10:00 AM the said
school conduct a Fire Drills with the cooperation of Grade 6 Pupils and 14 teaching
personnel. The objective of the said activity is to reduce fire risk and evaluate the readiness
and awareness of the learners and teachers on fire safety and prevention. Before the activity
happen regarding fire prevention Sir Oliver Laranjo with the SDRRM Coordinator secure the
area for the safety of everyone and conduct a short orientation. They discussed the possible
causes of fire and how can a school and pupils to prevent fire and safety precautions before,
during and after a fire.

Fire strikes anytime anywhere. So, fire safety and prevention is very important. Awareness is
the key to lesson and minimize the number of fire destruction and deaths. Being vigilance and
knowledgeable about this matter we keep ourselves and our family safe. Just keep in mind
that staying calm under any circumstance can mean the difference between being a victim
and survivor. Overall the activity was done successfully.
