II. NARRATIVE REPORT

A. INTRODUCTION/RATIONALE

Providing immediate and effective basic first aid to school personnel and learners
who have been injured or become ill at the school may reduce the severity of the injury or
illness and promote recovery. In some cases it could mean the difference between life and
death. For this reason, acquiring knowledge about basic first aid is primarily the aim of this
school-based seminar.

C. CONCLUSIONS/RECOMMENDATIONS

Understanding how to respond when the emergency breaks out in the school can be a
very significant factor in saving lives. With all the invaluable knowledge shared by Mr.
Jeremiah M. Sebastian, our resource speaker, about first aid, the school personnel and
learners were able to acquire the basic skills in applying first aid during emergency
situation.
