MINUTES OF THE LAC SESSION

DATE:_____________________

With the national roll out of PPST as standards for teachers and the Results Based Performance
Management System (RPMS) aligned with PPST as basis for rating the teachers’ performance, the teachers are
expected to really be rewarded for their efforts of providing the highest standards of teaching and learning
towards their profession and their clienteles – the learners. In connection to this vision, the Department of
Education stressed that the RPMS is a “systemic mechanism to manage, monitor and measure performance, and
identify human resource and organizational development needs to enable continuous work improvement and
individual growth.”
To ensure that teachers are working towards a common goal on the implementation of RPMS-PPST for this
school year, a communication was sent by the Elena S. Villanueva, Master Teacher II of Benito R. Villar
Memorial School informing the teachers of SPED, Grade I and Grade II the presentation of teacher’s portfolio
as basis of their rating reflected on their IPCRF per KRA vis-à-vis their performance within the school year. As
per instruction during the LAC session conducted as to the organization of Means of Verification (MOVs) of
the different objectives in every KRA, teachers were able to present their portfolio smoothly and successfully. A
one-on-one revalida was done giving the teachers the opportunity to boost their performance being reflected in
every MOVs they presented. It was a whole day activity, where everyone has the time to share everything and a
moment to speak up! It was formally done with a prayer and of course the importance of having the said
activity. To ease doubts and confusion, It was clearly stated that the purpose of the activity was to give positive
reinforcement to teachers who may be misled in the crafting of the RPMS-PPST performance for teachers. With
the conduct of the revalida, the teachers were able to reflect how far they have gone and what are their
contributions in the realization of the organization’ s goal towards quality education. It was indeed a fruitful
sharing of achievements and mentoring among the teachers of BRVMS. A feeling of satisfaction filled the
environment as everyone has accounted her contribution in the field of teaching. It was such a great
achievement for all, reminiscing the things being done Para sa Edukasyon, Para sa Bata. A thumb up for
everyone for this great endeavor.
