I. Title of the Program

SCHOOL BASED TRAINING ON MAKING VIDEO LESSON, UPDATES IN THE
GUIDELINES IN THE RPMS AND REVISITING THE PROFESSIONAL ETHICS FOR TEACHERS
II. Rationale
This training is based on the issuance DepEd Order No. 050, s. 2020, titled DepEd
Professional Development Priorities for Teachers and School Leaders for School Year
2020 – 2023 which support the realization of Department’s goal of continuous upskilling
and reskilling of teachers that will result in better learning outcomes. It promotes
inclusivity of discussion as the topics encompass learning opportunities to teachers that
provide support to the effective operationalization of school-based Learning Continuity
Plan (LCP) in light of COVID-19. Moreover, this session equips participants various
relevant knowledge and information about the status of work in the new normalcy in order
that clear direction towards service is achieved.

This training highlights significant discussions about teaching-learning challenges and

practices that are essentials in the workplace while teachers are delivering services
remotely in this time of pandemic. It also encompasses exploration on the emerging
opportunities and challenges encountered by the teachers in this most trying time with
DepEd’s core behavioral competencies. Moreover, community of practice is also
strengthened to foster continuous improvement in the level of practices among teachers.
To ensure that learners have acquired necessary competencies, teachers must be

rated using the Results-based Performance Monitoring System (RPMS) Tool for it
reflect the results of their performance. With this situation, there is a need to
review Individual Performance Commitment and review (IPCR) and preparation
of portfolio among teachers to fit the demand of time.
IV. Professional Development Priorities
 To provide teachers knowledge and understanding in making video lessons

to enhance better learning among our pupils to support the realization of
school ILCP for SY 2020-2021.
 Make video lesson essential to the learning process of the learners.
 Act as a role model and advocate for upholding the dignity of teaching
learning culture within and beyond the school within the norms of the
society.

of their instructional competencies, the school conducts three-day School-Based Training for

2. Objectives of this INSET training are the following:

 Identify varied teaching platform like video making to enhance better learning among
our learners in this pandemic time.
 Review the preparation of Individual Performance Commitment and Review

(IPCR) among teachers, and portfolio preparation, and
;
 Reflect one’s teaching practices and behavior aligned with Professional code of
Ethics for teachers.
