0 : MAIN PANEL IN THE SUBSTATION

SITC of floor mounted Indoor type extensible cubical MV switchboard,fabricated by CPRI approved panel
maker having compartmentalized design, fabricated out of 14 SWG ( 2.0 mm ) nominal thickness CRCA
sheet steel for framework and covers, and 3 mm nominal thickness for gland plates, including cleaning and
finishing complete with 7 tank process, with short circuit withstand capacity of 31 MVA for one second, front
and back openable, hinged, single shuttered, single door, with locking arrangement, good quality dust, damp
and vermin proof rubber gaskets, solid connections from main busbars to switchgears with required size of
Aluminium busbars, connections and interconnections and control wiring using 2.5 sq. mm of RYB colour
coded FRLS PVC Insulated Copper conductor single core cables and copper cable lugs
1 no. of 25 mm x 5 mm GI earth strip for earthing, cable alleys, cable gland plates in two halves, dinrail for
mounting switchgear, metering arrangements, drilling holes, detachable gland plates/ knockout plates,
providing 50 mm x 50 mm x 5 mm nominal thickness MS angle iron support for ACBs alongwith
horizontal/ vertical intermediate MS flat members for stiffening, mounting on MS channel iron framework 100
mm x 50 mm x 5 mm (9.2 kg/ metre) for floor mounting of MV panel, providing MS plate, suitable for bottom
cable entry, grouting in ground, powder coating, providing and fixing the following switchgear and measuring
instruments, earthing, cartage from fabricator's premises to site of work etc. as required.
BUSBAR
S&F 99.9% - 99.5% electrolytic tinned copper (Type test Certificate should be produced by manufacturer)
semi soft, tined electroplated with heat srinkable PVC sleeve 4 Bar Bus Bar of Proper Size mounted on non-
hygroscopic porcelain insulator/ hylam sheet having sufficient di-electric strength duly wrapped with colour
PVC tapes (Red, yellow, blue & black) for phases & neutral identification & all connection made with required
size cu bars.

INCOMER & BUSCOUPLER
(i)415V (Uimp=12kV peak), Icu@415V=Ics=Icw=100% and Icw for 1 sec=50kA,1600A, 4P Electrical draw out
type Communicable, Air Circuit breaker for uninterrupted duty, with microprocessor based LSIGN release
having adjustable overload with time delay, adjustable short circuit with time delay, Instantaneous current,
adjustable Earth fault with time delay, adjustable neutral protection -(min.50%,100%), 12kV Impulse
withstand capacity, temperature rise protection in-built in release & inbuilt energy metering of class 1, ZSI,
test facility, inbuilt capability of measurement of current, Voltage, unbalance, Power, Energy, MD with date &
time stamp, Power Factor etc. Remote Control (ON, OFF, TRIP) and monitoring of all above parameters
including Nature of Fault, TRIP History (30 Trips & 200 Events) etc. The release should have onboard ethernet
with capability connect through remote 3rd party SCADA Terminal connected over Ethernet as well as in
separate large touch screen LCD local display to be mounted at the door of Panel and enable predictive
maintenance. The Release data (Voltage & current waveform at the time of trip) should be available even at
Breaker Off& DC power fail condition. The ACB should have U/ V Release and at least spare 4NO + 4NC
auxiliary contact. There should be LED indicating lamp for showing R, Y, B, On, OFF, TRIP & Spring charge
indication on the panel door. The circuit-breakers are constructed and tested in accordance with the IEC/ EN
60947-2 standards as amended upto date. Type Test Certificates for short circuit withstand of 50kA (1 sec)
along with 415V (Uimp=12KV- peak), Icu@415V=Ics=Icw =100% must be produced. There should be Electrical
and mechanical interlock between incomers and buscouplers. - 3 Sets [2 Incommer & 1 buscouplar]

ACB

MCCB
SITC of following current rating and 415V, 4 pole 36 kA (Uimp=8KV), Ics= 100% Icu motorised MCCB with
communicable microprocessor based release having adjustable O/ L (0.4 to 1x In or better), Adjustable S/ C
(1/ 1.5 - 8/ 10 Ir), Inbuilt Instantaneous protection, Adjustable E/ F , Adjustable neutral protection at 50%,
100% and & inbuilt energy metering. The release should have onboard ethernet with capability connect
through remote 3rd party SCADA Terminal connected over Ethernet as well as in separate large touch screen
LCD local display. MCCB should have trip history 30 Trips & 200 Events. Both side spreader link, extended
rotary handle. The MCCB should be selected for making communication, transmission of measurements,
states and alarms from circuit-breaker to system, transmission of events to the system and remote control.
There should be LED indicating lamp for showing R, Y, B, On, OFF, TRIP indication on the panel door etc.

1 no 20 Channel HMI should be fixed at the door of panel. The HMI should be connected to the breakers
through proprietary hi-speed link or through Ethernet (in case MCCB is not having hi-speed link or Ethernet
Port in-built, necessary hardware for converting the communication port to Ethernet Port should be included
in each MCCB/ ACB) in such a way that Display of Voltage, Current, Power, Energy, MD (with date and time
stamp), Power Factor, Nature of Fault, TRIP History etc. can be done for the respective breakers. All these
activities should also be possible through remote 3rd party SCADA Terminal connected over Ethernet.

[Type Test Certificates for Temperature Rise Test & short circuit withstand capacity along with ACBs
mounted in the Switchboards is mandatory for submission at the time of drawing approval]
