    The rights of indigenous people

    *Mangyan tribes

    *Manobo tribes

    The indigenous people are the natives of the Philippines or original people. when

    abroad for example in Australia, there are so-called overseas gains in other

    countries around the world there are so-called indigenous people. So, usually the

    indigenous people have natives of the country here in the Philippines, In are case we

    can't deny that sometimes they are marginalize people because of this utility and

    modernization, sometimes they will leave these indigenous people prior to adaption

    the Torrance system here in the Philippines and in other countries the indigenous

    people have their own territories, so, we have many laws that recognize the

    counterparts of the indigenous people which is the copra indigenous people, there

    are also clue that our law established the NCIP (National Commission of Indigenous

    People). These are the laws where their job is to protect the rights of these

    indigenous people to protect and preserve their fortune and it also forgets that their

    property or cultural domain which is the commonality of these indigenous people.

    They have the so-called high places and then they have a culture that is babaylan,

    so, it is necessary to be recognized and registered, and then when we sign and

    accept that we are one of the tribes, they will give us a certificate that they
    immediately recognize that, and if you have the right certification you will get many

    benefits. There are understandings given in our law in favor will be indigenous

    people analogue, we have a law that provides special benefits for senior citizens, we

    have a law that provides special privileges, one of the privilege is the practical

    privileges. It's not just to become a member just to get the benefits mentioned earlier,

    our motivation is to be a productive member of the cultural group and to be able to

    help athletes their situation because that's really the purpose of that law, it's like a

    law in PWD and Senior citizens who have special privileges.
