1. Yes, it is very important and beneficial for everybody to study the Philippine Indigenous Community.
For the members of the Indigenous people, the study of the Philippine Indigenous Community is a way
to showcase who they really are. It teaches them to understand more about their own culture and at
the same time know their own rights as members of the society. It also teaches them to be proud of
their own selves and the vommunity they belong to. Moreover, people who does not belong to the
Phillipine Indigenous Community, will have an opportunity to study and be knowledgeable about the
indigenous people's culture and rights, as well as to develop their respect to each other, at the same
time won't always believe hearsays and aboud misinformation. For everyone is member of the same
communit.

2. As stated under the Republic Act number 8371, "AN ACT TO RECOGNIZE, PROTECT AND PROMOTE
THE RIGHTS OF INDIGENOUS CULTURAL COMMUNITIES/INDIGENOUS PEOPLES, CREATING A NATIONAL
COMMISSION ON INDIGENOUS PEOPLES, ESTABLISHING IMPLEMENTING MECHANISMS,
APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES". The essence of the act to us
indigenous people is to recognize our rights and to make sure that it is being protected and not violated
by any person.

3. The "Pagta Law" or "Bodong System" is constitutional. According to the Executive order no. 220,
Section 4 (1987), the region will have to the authority and responsibility for the development of
indigenous laws and political institutions, particularly those of direct democracy and collective
leadership, as well as the promotion of indigenous institutions and processes for conflict resolution and
dispute settlement. In addition, the orser also states that Preservation and enhancement of indigenous
customs, traditions, languages and cultures. Moreover the order also included the strengthening of the
bodong system of tribal unity and cooperationProtection and preservation of the cultural identity,
values, mores and norms of the various ethno-linguistic groups in the Cordilleras. The promotion of
social justice and protection of human rights, particularly the rights of women, children, the elderly and
disadvantaged groups, as well as the rights of people's organizations.Lastly, such other matters as may
be authorized by law or delegated by the President for the promotion of the general welfare. The
bodong system, has solved many problems and conflicts between different tribes. It has also served as a
way to maintain the hard earned peace that we are enjoying today. As presented under the section 4 of
the EO. 220, the Bodong System is constitutional.
