actions. Must be accurate and truthful in all reporting.
Meaning of integrity – being honest, ethical and maintaining a strong moral character.
Duties: maintaining national safety through the enforcement of law and order.
Duties: administering legislation, delivering justice services, and providing policy support and
analyses of law-related issues.

Duties: To provide the people of Jamaica with an independent and effective criminal prosecution
capability which is both fair and just. Consistent with the Constitution of Jamaica, the Director of
Public Prosecutions initiates, takes over and terminates prosecutions in all Courts of Jamaica
