Ang Taga's Mr. and Ms. Press Conference 2023! Sit back and relax, as your lovely
candidates make their way for their production number!

VO: And now, here are your hosts for tonight's event, Mr. Deutsche Mark Rondina and
Ms. Sheila Mae Angelica Laroga!

Host 1: Good evening, CTU!

Host 1: This is it, this is the night that you've all been waiting for, the Mr.

Host 1 & 2: and Ms. Presscon 2023!

Host 1: Such a strong start there from our lovely and strong candidates with their dance
to the rhythm. I can feel the audience roused from their seats and standing positions!

Host 2: Absolutely, partner. Tonight, we'll feast our eyes and minds with the beauty and
wit that our candidates have with them, right here, right now!

Host 1: Truly, we will. Yet, so much for that, let's hear it from the crowd. Are you all
excited? Make noise, CTU!

Host 2: Let's hear it from every department; I want to hear from the College of
Education!

III. Introduction of Judges

Host 2: The tension is already high; why don't we kick it up a notch as we introduce our
respectable board of judges! Since this is not just any type of competition, we have
esteemed people here to help us choose the most deserving among these lovely and
handsome candidates.

VO: Our first judge has graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Industrial
Engineering (Cum Laude). He finished Certificate in Professional Education at CTU –
Moalboal Campus. Taking up Master of Science in Industrial Engineering at the
University of San Carlos – Talamban Campus. Former Process Engineer at Mactan
Apparels Incorporated. Former On-the-Job Trainee at Treasure Island Industrial
Corporation. Former Vice President of the Future Science and Technology Leaders of
the Philippines (FSTLP) of CTU – Moalboal Campus. Former Secretary, Vice President
and President of the Industrial Engineering Student Council (IESC) of CTU – Moalboal
Campus. Participant during the 18th Samahang Pisika ng Visayas at Mindanao (SPVM)
National Physics Conference, 2016 International Conference on Material Science and
Nanotechnology, 4th International Meeting on Complex Systems held at Silliman
University – Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. Judge, Linggo sa Kabataan sa Bugho
2021. Judge, Bugho Youth Sportsfest 2022. Judge, Anyag sa Bugho 2023. Certified
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (CLSSYB)
Our judge number 1 is none other than Engineer Jessie Rey Avenido.

Our next judge is an Assistant Professor IV at Cebu Technological University-Moalboal


Campus. She finished her Bachelor’s Degree Major in English at Cebu Normal
University. Master’s Degree Major in English Teaching and Doctorate Degree at CTU-
Moalboal Campus. She is a high school English teacher and part-time teacher in her
Alma Mater, De La Salle Soriano Memorial College for 8 years and classroom teachers
in DepEd for 15 years. She is currently the designated chairman of the English
Department and Humanities and Arts and the Campus Secretary at Cebu Technological
University- Moalboal Campus. She is none other than Dr. Anabella R. Gemino.
Our next judge is a journalist of the Hill View School Paper of Ipil National High School,
Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. He was also an essayist and college artist in Mindanao State
University- Buug Campus. He was also the coach of Th Horizon School Peper in Badian
National High School. And he was the adviser of the Ang Kawit/The Hook School Peper
of CTU-Moalboal Campus, Senior High School Department.a He is Dr. Rodolfo A.
Golbin Jr.

And for our next judge, she is a Doctor of Philosophy in Technology Management -CAR.
A Masters in Management in Palompon Institute of Technology, Palompon, Leyte,
March, 1998. A Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Development Communication Major
in Community Broadcasting at Visayas State University (VSU). She was a Science
Research Assistant at Visayas State University from 1998-2004. An Associate
Professor II, Chairman of Student Publication (2004-2023). Associate Professor III,
Research Director CTU-Moalboal Campus 2023-Present. She has attended various
seminars and trainings that includes:

IV. Reading of Criteria for Judging

Host 1: There you have it, ladies and gents. They will be your judges for tonight. To help
them determine the winners for tonight's event, we have a criteria for the candidates'
performance. They will be judged according to the following criteria:

● Production Number - 20%
● Departmental Attire - 20%
● Journalist Attire - 20%
● Question and Answer - 40%

with a total of 100%.

After which, 3 candidates will be chosen out from the 7 current candidates which will
advance to the next round. The scores of the top 3 candidates will be reset to zero and
they will be subjected to another round of questions, which will be the basis for this
year's Mr. and Ms. Presscon 2023.
V. TV Broadcasting (Contestant 1)

Host 2: But before we jump to the candidates' second appearance on stage, let's listen
and be in with the latest news as our very own broadcasters deliver news straight to us!

Host 1: Seven teams will vie for the prize of being champions for this year's live
broadcasting. They will also be judged according to the following criteria:
