Proposal Regarding Photography Tutorial for SBU ShutterBugs

Introduction

Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is one of the most important and joyous festivals
celebrated in India. It is a time for families and friends to come together and celebrate the victory of
good over evil. The festival is also a time for new beginnings and prosperity.

The University Photography Club is proposing to organize a Diwali Photography and Videography
contest to capture the essence of this vibrant festival. The contest will be open to all students of the
university.

Objectives

The objectives of the contest are to:

 Promote interest in photography and videography among students.

 Provide students with an opportunity to showcase their creativity and skills.
 Encourage students to capture the essence of Diwali in their photographs and videos.
 Create a platform for students to share their work with a wider audience.

Contest Rules

The contest will be open to all students of the university. Students can submit photographs and videos
of any aspect of Diwali, such as:

 Diwali decorations
 Diwali rituals and traditions
 Diwali celebrations
 Diwali food and sweets
 Diwali people

Photographs and videos must be original and taken by the student. Each student can submit up to 2
photographs and 1 video of 30 second to 01:00 Minutes.
Timeline

The contest will be open for submissions from November 11 to November 15, 2023. The winners
will be announced on November 25, 2023.

Conclusion

The Diwali Photography and Videography contest is a great opportunity for students to
showcase their creativity and skills. The contest will also help to promote interest in
photography and videography among students.

We urge the University to approve this proposal so that we can organize a successful contest.
