Green bathward aims to revolutionize the bathroom industry by repurposing end-of-life materials

to initiate a sustainable and creative solution for bathroom equipment. Bathward is the birthplace
of a new innovation. As an alternative to traditional ceramic fixtures, a waterless urinal made
entirely using discarded plastics and waste aluminum. A urinal is a bathroom necessity that allows
people to dispose of their waste without contaminating the environment or each other.
Additionally, we are eliminating the need for flushing with these urinals. This urinal does not
require conventional flushing, instead these units include a unique cartridge within the drainage
system that purifies wastewater and prevents odors’ from rising back through the drains [1]. The
urinal only needs to be cleaned and maintained on a regular basis to maintain hygiene.
A urinal designed using recycled plastic waste has numerous advantages. It diverts plastics and
aluminum from landfills, reducing pollution and natural resource consumption. The waterless
mode conserves water resources, reducing strain on local supplies and saving money. Furthermore,
it promotes cleaner lavatory environments by eliminating traditional flushing mechanisms, which
can easily spread germs. The use of waste in manufacturing will raise awareness about plastic
waste and sustainable practices, thereby engaging communities in responsible consumption.
Furthermore, it aligns with sustainability objectives by emphasizing innovative waste-to-resource
pathways, as well as advancing environmental preservation, hygiene, and community
involvement, and will undoubtedly set an example for the future.
To begin production, waste plastic and aluminum collected from garbage dumps and landfills are
thoroughly cleaned, removing labels, dirt, and any contaminants. Plastics such as PET, HDPE, and
PP will be used. These plastics are separated by type and color before being fed into the double
shaft shredder. After shredding, the surface area increases, making melting easier and more
efficient. Following a controlled melting phase, an aqueous solution of the plastics is obtained, and
this is then poured into the precast mold, where it cools and solidifies into the desired size and
shape. Afterwards, it is primed and sprayed with paint, with sanding in between, until the desired
surface finish and color are achieved. Finally, it is coated with a gloss finish after the application
of sealant, resulting in a superior quality product with a smooth surface. Following that, waste
aluminum is heated and processed through aluminum die casting to produce a variety of waste
covers, resulting a final product as seen in figure 1 below.

We currently generate 400 million tons of plastic waste per year [2]. Following that, the use of
recycled plastic waste as the primary material source demonstrates creativity in repurposing
discarded materials, contributing to waste reduction and circular economy principles. Also, we
save approximately 100,000 liters of water per year with the introduction of the waterless feature,
and when applied across an entire location, there will be a significant economic and financial
benefit [1]. On the other hand, this product will be less fragile and lighter in weight than ceramics,
allowing for easier transportation and lowering energy consumption and shipping costs.
Primarily, the fact that this product is less expensive than ceramics will draw attention to the
statistic that it offers cost savings to businesses and institutions through decreased water
consumption, which results in lower utility expenses. Customers will be drawn to buy urinals even
for home use due to the low price and awareness of the advantages. This product complies with
conformity standards and demonstrates a commitment to corporate social responsibility as
environmental regulations become stricter. The growing market for innovative, resource-
conscious solutions is well-positioned for the product thanks to the demand for water-efficient
fixtures in public areas, workplaces, and hospitality facilities.
