INTERNATIONAL HOTEL AND
RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION (IH&RA).

The International Hotel and Restaurant Association is an


international trade association representing the interests of the hotel
and restaurant industry. The association was formed on November
1947 and is non-profitable company. Its purpose is to form a umbrella
trade association for worldwide hotel restaurant industry. IHRA is
headquartered in Switzerland. Major languages spoken in the
association are English and French. It monitors and lobbies international
agencies on behalf of the industry. It is estimated to comprise 4, 00,000
hotels and 8 million restaurants, employs 60 million people and
contributes 950 billion USD to the global economy.

It aims at forming a platform for trade association for the hotels


and restaurant industry present in the whole world. it is the only
international trade association exclusively devoted to promoting and
defending the interests of the hotels worldwide.
