I.Executive Summary

We aim to produce high-quality sweet potato chips that are a healthier snack
infused with different flavors and nutritional benefits. Our chips provide a snack option
that will be guilt free for those individuals who are health conscious. We use high-
quality ingredients and new recipes. We want to address the problem of expensive
healthy snack options by providing affordable new healthy snacks that would satisfy
the cravings of our customers.

In one year or less, we want to establish a strong presence in the local scale of the
market and to have secured partnerships with resellers and retailers. In two or three
years we want to grow our distribution in the national scale and to also introduce new
products. By the fourth or fifth year, we aim to become the leading or one of the most
known brands in the healthy food/snacks industry with international distribution
channels.

We want to attract health conscious individuals, including those who are active in their
fitness, professionals who are always busy and households that are looking for
healthier snack options. We aim to target resellers and retailers that would want to
offer a healthy snack too. The competitors that we have are also snack manufacturers
and those who are offering sweet potato chips. We distinguished ourselves from them
by having an innovative mindset and flavor varieties. Pricing is also a factor that sets
us apart because most of the healthy snacks are expensive and not affordable for
certain individuals.

The management team that we have are trained and experienced professionals that
have backgrounds in food production, marketing and research. The expertise and
passion for a healthier lifestyle is what makes our team special. Knowledgeable and
the right strategy is vital for the success of Kamo Chips.

We want to have investors that would be beneficial and will be allocated towards the
production equipment, ingredients and distribution. We are aiming to have 1.5
million pesos as our capital. With this investment, we will achieve our target profit
within the first two years of continuous operation and to have returns for our investors.

The chosen business will be in the food industry. Kamo Chips is a healthy snack and
it can be a better alternative to traditional junk food or chips. By selecting sweet
potatoes as the principal ingredients of our chips, it is renowned for the abundance of
essential vitamins and dietary fiber.

ingredients. We want to maintain the health benefits and nutrients of sweet potatoes
while satisfying the taste and cravings of our customers. We are also committed to

product, we want to motivate people in eating healthy snacks and to have a better
eating habit.

value to our future consumers by providing them with high quality products at prices
that are reasonable. By having integrity in our pricing it is also important that we
maintain profitability and also prioritize affordability at the same time in order to
ensure that our customers will enjoy the product that we are offering.

The target market of Kamo chips are individuals who are health conscious. Which are: Health
and fitness enthusiasts, Gen Z, Vegetarians, Parents of young children, and Consumers with
dietary restrictions

Industry

The industry of sweet potato chips is operating within the snack sector. The industry
is growing rapidly because of the increase of people being mindful of their nutrition
and would prefer healthier alternatives. The short-term outlook is all about keeping up
with the food trends and having a positive performance, while the long-term is to have
a larger scale production that would cater and serve on a global scale with high quality
products that will satisfy the consumers. Majority of healthy snacks are moreover
expensive and we will take advantage of it by having low prices in our products while
maintaining the quality and the healthiness of it. Competition will always be present in
every industry but we will directly compete with pricing since we will focus on lowering
the prices of our products hence will give us an advantage over them.

Legal structure

Kamo chips will start as a sole proprietorship but will be open with partnerships
depending on the agreement and direction of the other party. Sole proprietorship is
advantageous so that the owner can capitalize on the profit and make calculated
decisions on expansion.
III. Products and Services

Description of Products (or Services)


We sell sweet potato chips with different flavors to cater the cravings of our customers
but we will not disregard the nutritional benefits of it. We will be hitting two birds in one
stone so that we will provide a delicious and healthy snack. The suppliers of sweet
potatoes are coming from farmers who are often taken advantage of and we also
would want to help them by buying the raw products from them at a reasonable price.
We would also invest in a food laboratory to ensure that we will meet the expectations
of our customers and to prioritize the nutritional aspect and taste of our sweet potato
chips. We will have a partnership with a third party company for our logistics so that
we can still cater orders from any part of the country and eventually the world.

Problem Worth Solving


Most of the foods or snacks that are meant to be healthy or for vegans are expensive
and people tend to think that it is costly or expensive to be “healthy”. People also are
consuming and enticed to purchase unhealthy snacks because they are relatively
cheaper. In our approach we want to solve this problem by offering a healthy, delicious
high quality snack that these individuals can enjoy without worrying about the cost of
it. One of the unique selling points of it is the flexibility of our sweet potato chips
because we can just utilize the trends and use the flavor that would really sell in the
market.
Competitive Advantages

There are characteristics that the customer is aiming for but the companies/ producers
are ignoring. First is the pricing, most healthy snacks are expensive and customers
tend to have a perception of being healthy as expensive. Next is the taste, since we
are advocating in terms of nutrition, there are products that are healthy but are always
neglecting the taste value of it and how delicious it will taste to customers. Third is the
trend of the market since people are constantly following the trends, we will take
advantage of it by incorporating it in our products. Such as the flavor, if there is a
certain flavor that is trending then we will be putting it as a new flavor of the sweet
potato chips. These characteristics will be addressed by Kamo Chips and will be used
in order to satisfy the taste buds of our customers without feeling the guilt of
unhealthiness.

Pricing and Costing Structure

Kamo Chips are priced competitively, as we want to capitalize on our advantage as


having low priced snacks compared to other manufacturers in the same industry. We
will offer various packages that come in small to large sizes. The pricing strategy that
we will have is to balance affordability, the taste, and nutritional benefits of our product.
Kamo chips are positioned in the mid-range which is most likely to be affordable in the
market. We want to target consumers who are value conscious and that are seeking
high quality snacks. The projected profit margins are anticipated to be healthy,
showcasing the effectiveness of Kamo chips’ production methods, the advantages of
scaling up operations, and pricing strategy. Although precise profit margin goals may
fluctuate due to factors like production expenses and market conditions, our objective
remains steadfast: to sustain a competitive advantage while securing profitability for
the long term.
