Introduction
Explanatory video about the gas laws showing what has been learned during the
entire partial course in science and chemistry. In this case we will talk about boyle’s
law.

PRACTICE No. 1 Date: 29-01-2024

2. Title of the practice, experiment
Boyle's law
3. Objectives of the practice

• Identify through a home practice the postulates of the Boyle-Mariotte law

4. Materials 5. Reagents Equipment
none
• A plastic bottle with
nothing in it
• Scissors
• A balloon
• Plasticine

• Cut the bottom of the bottle carefully with a knife or scissors.
• place the balloon and cover the hole we made with the plasticine
• so that the balloon inflates and the air does not escape.

7. Questionnaire
1. ¿Why is it necessary to cover the bottle with plasticine?
so that the balloon inflates and we can show boyle's law.

2.¿What does boyle's law talk about?

it relates the volume with the pressure at constant temperature

3.¿What are the gas laws?

boyle's law
Charles' law
gay lussac's law

4.¿Why does the balloon deflate?

it deflates because the plasticine in the balloon does not allow the plasticine to be filled with
water.

5.¿Why does the balloon stay inflated when the hole is plugged?
because its volume increases and the pressure decreases
