Wind speed, wind direction and data of water flow to be recorded as well when testing. ship's course, speed, test distance and test duration is Tecorded automatically by DGPS shipping measurement system. Tests shall be made correspondence to the main engine output at different percent of MCR according to different vessel. Meanwhile measuring the speed, measure and record the main engine ‘output in kW and revolution in rpm. 4.1.2 Shaft-power measuring principle. Calibration can be checked at any time with a NIST traceable reference such as a calibrated voltmeter with sufficient (millivolt) resolution. Calibration of the TorqueTrak System on borad: 1. Insert connector on AC/DC adapter into Power Input jack on the RX rear panel. Plug adapter into appropriate AC power source (i., wall socket). Flip the RX power switch 2. Allow the RX to warm up for 15 minutes. 3. Connect a calibrated, high-accuracy voltmeter to the Voltage Output terminals. 4. Scroll RX : through the simulated inputs and check the outputs. When the heading of the ship reached port 10/20deg.to the initial heading, quickly tun the rudder to starboard 10/20deg, and keep the azimuth angle. When the heading of the ship reached starboard 10/20deg.of initial heading, quickly turn the rudder to port 10/20deg. and keep the azimuth angle. When the heading of the ship reaches to initial heading, quickly tum the rudder to the 0 deg., thus one test finished. See sketch to get the result of this test. At the same time rudder first turn quickly to one side hard over 35deg, then rudder turns to the other side hard over 35deg immediately when the heading direction deviated 60deg from the original direction.
