DEVELOPMENT COMMUNICATION
This refers to the use of communication to facilitate social development and it engages
stakeholders and policy makers establishes conductive environment. Development
communication can be defined as the way of marketing and public opinion foundation that is
used specifically to develop effective communication or it’s the use of communication to
promote social development.
The practice of development communication can be traced back to the effort of the various
part of the world during the (1940) the application of the concepts came about, because of the
problem that arose in the world war ii. The rise of communication, science in the (1972) saw a
recognition of the field as an academic discipline with Daniel lamer, Wilber schramm and Eurett
Roger being the earliest advocates. The term “Development communication” was first coined in
(1972) by Nora C Qucbral who define it as the art and science of human communication linked
to a society for transformation of information across the states

PUBLIC RELATION
This can be seen as the act of managing and scattering information from an individual or an
organization to the public in other to influence their cognition.

He defines public relation as the setoff technique and strategies related to managing how
information about an individual or organization is disseminated to the public

TYPES OF PUBLIC RELATION.


 Media Relation – This is the emphasis of forging a strong relationship with public media
organization
 Production Relation – this is the close direct operation of a support broad company, that
support broad marketing plan
 Investor Relation –investor relation handles investor events oversee and the
communication of the release of financial report.
 Internal relation – This aspect branch between a company and its employee’s internal
relation pertain to counsel employees
BROADCASTING
Broadcasting can be defined as the electronic transmission of event or entertainment through the
radio and television signal that are intended for general/public reception, as distributed from
private signals that are directed to specific receiver’s.
Broadcasting can be describing the systematic and un- coordinal arrange of entertainment,
information, programs and others features for simultaneous reception by audience

Film and multi-media studies.


Film and multi-media studies base on the analyzation of various aspects of film
production, televisions and other media contents.

This particular field cover the study of film history, productions, editing, theory,
storytelling and media production and they have impact on our organization or
communities

Journalism and media studies


This deals with the research of event/creating accurate report and then distributing the
information to the public through various communication channels. It can be defined as the
exploration of events, entertainment, production, and media messages that involves highly of the
field of communication.

COMMUNICATION STRATEGY
Communication strategy or strategy communication can be defined as the
encompassing business and marketing communication or this refers to policy making and
guidance for consistent information activity within an organization and between organization, it
is also an equivalent business management and it terms are marketing communication,
integrated organizational communication, corporate communication and institutional
communication.

TYPE OF STRATEGY COMMUNICATION


 Verbal strategy communication – This type of strategy has two categories of written and oral
communication. Written strategies consist of avenues such a e-mails, text and chart, while oral
into the art of phones call, video chart and face-to face communication.
 Non – verbal strategy communication – Nonverbal communication plays a crucial
role in conveying messages without using words. It includes body language, facial
expressions, gestures, posture, eye contact, and tone of voice. Effective nonverbal
strategies can enhance understanding and convey emotions, intentions, and emphasis in
communication. For example, maintaining eye contact can show attentiveness, while
crossing your arms might convey defensiveness. Understanding and using nonverbal
cues appropriately can help improve your communication skills.
