General Information/ iProt Collagen PF is an aqueous solution of collagen peptides,

Characteristics: obtained from bovine skin.
The extraction method assures the maintenance of the hydrolyzed
proteins properties. The hydrolysis process is performed in such a
way to maintain the homogeneity of peptides molecular weight.

Benefits / Application: Skin and hair are constituted by proteins. Proteins are formed by
peptides, which are composed of amino acids. The sequence and
composition of these amino acids dictate the protein properties.

iProt Collagen PF has a close identity to the tissue proteins. Its

peptides, when in contact with damaged skin and hair, are
adsorbed, imparting a restorative effect. It also confers softness,
and gloss.

iProt Collagen PF fixes firmly to hair, and is not easily rinsed off.

Properties:
 Hydrating, moistening, restorative effects.
 Minimizes the aggressive effects of chemical agents present in
hygiene products for hair and skin.
 Improves the damaged structure of hair keratin.
 Increases capability of forming stabilized foam.

Formulations Advices: iProt Collagen PF may be incorporated in:

 Aqueous solutions: incorporate initially iProt Collagen PF in
water, and then other raw materials.
 Emulsions: should be incorporated in the aqueous phase,
simultaneously with other water-soluble raw materials.
 Alcoholic solutions: can be incorporated in hydro-alcoholic
solutions which contain maximum of 40% V/V alcohol. The final
product should be filtered at least 48 hour post processed.
Observations: can be processed at hot conditions.

Additives: iProt Collagen PF is preserved with 0.3% of parabens. There is no

need to store under refrigeration. In case final cosmetic formulation
presents an alcoholic level under 20%, an additional preservative
should be required.

Shelf Life / Storage 24 months if stored at room temperature (8 to 35º C). Store dry and
