Overview
Name of the event: I Bleed Blue: Donate Blood and Keep the World Beating
Date and Time: February 24, 2023, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Venue: 2nd Floor, Finster Building, Room F213

II. Rationale

As part of the Philippine Red Cross, College Red Cross Youth of Ateneo de Davao
University (CRCY) centers around supporting the most vulnerable and expanding its
volunteer network. In line with the vision of the Ateneo de Davao University of engaging
in community service and the objective to form men and women for others, the
organization aims to conduct and provide services directed toward the growth of the
members, school, and community.

In line with the fundamental principles of the Red Cross Movement, humanity, and
unity, the CRCY invites its members, the Ateneo community and the Davao community,
to participate in this bloodletting activity that will help them be helpful and active
members of society. Furthermore, two years after the pandemic, the organization finally
has the opportunity to hold its annual Blood Donation Program to practice volunteerism
and humanitarian work as Red Cross Youth volunteers and encourage people outside the
organization to become humanitarians.

The face-to-face event called I Bleed Blue: Donate Blood and Keep the World Beating
with the theme, "An act of solidarity for the future of humanity," will be held on February
24, 2023, from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM at AdDU Arrupe Hall with estimated 150
participants. The organization is delivering opportunities to direct youth volunteers'
energy into worthwhile activities and Ateneo's commitment to ensuring that its students
serve the community and the common good.

At the end of this event's execution, CRCY is looking forward to collecting at least 150
blood bags that will be utilized to save the lives of patients who are in need of blood and
to encourage people to become blood donors. It is also in our best interest and hopes that
the donors and volunteers will be consistent in helping others and become more involved
in humanitarian activities. Most significantly, there is a call for us to be committed to
caring for humanity and improving the dignity of the most vulnerable
