INTRODUCTION
BAR SEAL-II is a fine mesh fibrous powdered polysaccharide loss circulation product designed to
perform in either oil or water based mud systems. Being of a variable particle size loss circulation
material, it is an excellent multi-purpose drilling product/package. It is designed to help prevent fluid
invasion into the formation. It is a proprietary blend of polymers, which improve filtration and shale
control.
The goal of this project is to investigate whether or not VD-SEAL-II passes Valor specifications.
SUMMARY
VD-SEAL-II was tested for specification testing for LCM materials and compared in performance. VD-
SEAL-II passed all Valor LCM standards specifications.

Viscosity (cP), using a
Fann VG Meter or
equivalent.
VD-SEAL-II met the rheological specifications (as seen in the apparent viscosity of the treated
bentonite suspensions). The bentonite suspension with added VD-SEAL-II penetrated 3.5 inches out of
the 6 inches of sand during the loss circulation testing. VD-SEAL-II passed all required specifications
when tested as LCM at 500psi.
Conclusion
Based on the tests conducted, we conclude that VD-SEAL-II meets both requirements and
specifications for this product as a loss circulation control additive.
