The heart of the CHP facility is a gas LM6000-PD
turbine type LM6000 that generates Gas Turbine

40 MW of electrical power. The hot

exhaust gases from the turbine pass

ENIPOWER
Challenge: Increase efficiency and
power recovery cogeneration in
comparison with the existing plant while
reducing NOx and CO limits imposed by
the law in force.
Solution: LM6000-PF Sprint aero
derivative gas turbine and related
services.
Results: The new plant will have a
flexibility of operation reached by the
modular structure of type of machine
chosen and by the use of heat power
accumulators.
The network will extend to ring for about
52 km and will provide heat and hot
water for 20.000 homes while reaching
the respect of NOx and CO limits.

ALBAPOWER
Challenge: AlbaPower is an on purpose
company by Ferrero S.p.A. and Egea
S.p.A. Ferrero needed of substituting two
old plants with one able to produce
energy at lower costs.
Solution: 1x LM6000 PD SPRINT
Results: The plant supplies both
electrical (400 GW-h per year) and
thermal power to the factory Ferrero in
Alba and electrical power for Egea’s
customers. It supplies heat power to the
district heating grid of the town of Alba.
