Two-component epoxy resin and

cleaner

1 Introduction
Two-component casting resin consists of epoxy resin and hardener.
With this balancing mass the surfaces of the foundation frame and the gearbox baseplate are lev-
elled to ensure the proper alignment between the gearbox and the foundation of the LOESCHE
mill. This additionally reduces vibration and noise.
The cleaner serves to remove oil and grease residue prior to levelling of the surfaces.

2 Minimum requirement
Epoxy resin:
- Compressive strength >130 N/mm2
- Hardening time approx. 24 h at ca. 20° C

3 Processing epoxy resin and cleaner

Processing is carried out in accordance with the respective specifications and safety data sheets
of the manufacturer.

4 Epoxy resin quantities

The quantities of epoxy resin necessary are contained in the parts list of the Mill stand cpl.
The specifications are to be converted to correspond to the density and the container size of the
manufacturer. Since the container cannot be completely emptied the following correction factors
have to be included, depending on the size of the container.

Example:
200 l are required as per parts list. Chockfast Orange in 3.4 kg buckets is to be purchased.
200 l x 1.706kg/l = 341kg 341kg / 3.4kg = 100,3, i.e. 100 buckets of 3.4kg each must be
purchased.

5 Cleaner quantities

According to experience 1.5 kg to 2 kg of cleaner per m² of gearbox baseplate are required.
